While my specialty has always been trauma therapy for teenagers, it was shortly after my youngest brother committed suicide that I decided to forever include Veterans and the prior military when considering new patients. With 2 Veterans in my family, my personal experiences help me better understand the psyche of those who have lived in a controlled environment, experienced personal trauma, or who have been in active combat. While I have experience using Talk Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and also Art Therapy, I know every situation is unique, and I am ready to explore the many therapies available until we find what works for you.
I originally specialized in therapies for kids and teens diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), which includes the whole spectrum from Non-verbal to High Functioning. Though it doesn't matter if you are a parent seeking therapy for an Autistic child or teen, or an emotionally wounded veteran, I am ready to guide you to your solution.
My desire to help people through their traumatic experiences or difficult emotions is both genuine and true. My dedication as a Therapist should never be taken lightly. My developed organic approach to the therapeutic processes requires participation and consistency to improve complete mental health.
I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2017, working in various mental health therapy roles.

I encourage clients to act as kindly toward themselves as they tend to act toward others. I believe that you are perfect just the way you are. Once you accept your perfection, you will find that your life becomes happier and more fulfilling. I am here to guide you toward that acceptance.
Not only do I consider your views valid, but you are the expert on what you need and what works for you. Therefore, I try not to give advice or lists of tricks and techniques or the latest advancements in popular psychology. Most of your session with me will likely be spent exploring and validating what you think and feel. The work of answering questions is similar to how a personal trainer's client lifts dumbbells for themselves.
I look forward to meeting you.

My academic journey began at the University of Central Florida, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology in 2020. Following that, I pursued and acquired my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University, empowering me to specialize in guiding individuals through challenging experiences.
With extensive clinical experience spanning various roles, I've dedicated myself to specializing in trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, and autism. However, I don't merely see my clients as a cluster of symptoms; I approach each holistically, recognizing their unique experiences and strengths.
My therapeutic approach integrates trauma-informed methods and evidence-based practices such as ERP, CBT, ACT, DBT, narrative therapy, and somatic therapy. I also embrace nervous system regulation strategies and Polyvagal Theory—a foundational framework that explores the body's responses to stress and helps regulate emotions and behaviors, enhancing overall well-being. I tailor my approach to meet each client’s needs.
For children, I utilize child-led play therapy and sand tray therapy, creating a nurturing space where young minds can express and process emotions comfortably and creatively. This approach facilitates the exploration and resolution of emotional conflicts, fostering a safe environment for their development and healing.
I also specialize in assisting parents and caretakers, offering guidance and support to navigate the complexities of parenting. Well-versed in attachment theory, I work on helping parents and caretakers strengthen attachment.
Operating from a multicultural lens, I deeply value diversity and cultural sensitivity in therapy, nurturing an environment where all backgrounds are respected and cherished. I am also a neurodivergent affirming therapist, meaning I embrace and celebrate neurodiversity in all its forms and utilize a strengths-based approach.
In my free time, I cherish moments spent with my daughter and dog. I enjoy playing video games, playing the piano, hiking, and reading science fiction and fantasy novels.
Growing up with a sister on the Autism Spectrum, I developed a lifelong passion for helping others feel seen, supported, and empowered. This early experience sparked my desire to work with individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life, guiding them through life’s challenges toward healing and growth. This early experience sparked my desire to work with individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life, guiding them through life’s challenges toward healing and growth. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Central Florida and completed my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University.
I take a holistic, client-centered approach to therapy, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs while honoring the mind-body connection. I work with children, teens, and adults, and I especially enjoy supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and relationship concerns. I often incorporate art into my sessions as a creative and expressive tool for healing. I truly love what I do and feel honored to walk alongside my clients as they navigate their journeys.
In my free time, I can be found playing video games, coloring, or finding new ways to recharge and stay grounded—activities I often encourage clients to explore in their self-care practices!

My approach to therapy is primarily based on Carl Jung’s theory of analytical psychology, which explores how unconscious thoughts and experiences shape our lives. I use techniques like dream work and storytelling to help clients better understand themselves and find meaning in their experiences.

I am deeply committed to providing a space where others feel heard, seen, and empowered. With a warm and empathetic approach, my goal is to ensure that clients feel they never have to face their challenges alone and that there is always someone willing to listen. I strongly believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and am honored to walk alongside clients on their journey towards healing and growth.
I began my career in Early Childhood Education. After becoming a foster and adoptive parent, the drive and focus of my career became social work. For the last 14 years, I have worked with the mental health population in Central Florida. I am very client-centered and resourceful, and love assisting others in reaching their goals and improving their lives.
Growing up, I have always been fascinated by the human brain as well as passionate about psychology as a whole, because of how multi-functional and resilient our mind is over the body. Growing up, I have always been fascinated by the human brain as well as passionate about psychology as a whole, because of how multi-functional and resilient our mind is over the body. As I grew older, I learned that not everything is black and white and that everyone I encounter comes from different walks of life with their unique brain chemistry; whether through their individual experiences, culture, and such. As the eldest sibling and an immigrant coming to Florida at a young age from a Hispanic household, the biggest life lesson I've learned is "it takes a village to raise a child" and "through compassion comes understanding, and through understanding comes compassion".
I graduated from the University of Central Florida with my Bachelor's in Clinical Psychology with honors and plan on continuing my academic and professional career with Catalyst Counselling while I undergo graduate studies in Fall 2025 to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
Since my undergraduate studies at UCF, I have accumulated experience in providing mental health services ranging from working as a Direct Care Professional in an adult IDD residential home, Research Behavioral Technician in ABA therapy (3 years), as well as volunteering as a Crisis Text Counselor at Crisis Text Line (2 years). Overall, this has equipped me with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in this internship, leading with compassion and excellence. I am confident in my skills in building rapport with clients of different age groups and populations dealing with various mental health disorders and behaviors while also working closely with their families and healthcare providers.
Currently, I am one of the mental health interns working behind the front desk, but wI ill also be providing Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services at Catalyst. I am enthusiastic about this journey and making a positive impact where I can through my services and acts of kindness.
Outside work and studies, I enjoy a variety of activities such as spending quality time with my pets and loved ones, taking nature hikes, drawing/painting, photography, traveling abroad, attending rock concerts, and online gaming.

Before starting at Catalyst, I was involved in a very different field and felt out of my element when I first started here. However, since my journey has brought me here, I have made so many wonderful connections and am surrounded by the most helpful and friendly staff.
